critical law code concepts

Leviticus 10:10-11

"You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean, and you are to teach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them by Moses.”

Holy

The concept of "Holy" is difficult for the human mind to grasp.  In simple terms it means "perfect".  ADOANI is Holy because He is perfect.  The way one interacts, views and treats that which is Holy will provide a "sacred" mindset.

Common

Anything that has not been declared to be Holy is by definition common.  Rules are still applicable to that which

is considered common.

Clean/Unclean-Humans

With humans, this concept involves keeping one's self in a spiritual state that provides the opportunity for the Spirit of Truth to provide one with wisdom, understanding, guidance and comfort on a daily basis.  Certain behaviors can cause a human to be considered unclean.  The Creator provides Instructions on how one transitions from unclean to clean.  The Creator's presence

cannot reside with unclean.

Clean/Unclean-Animals

There are animals that are considered clean or unclean.  Clean animals are allowed to be consumed by humans whereas unclean animals are not to be consumed.  Some animals are

not even to be touched.

Defilement

When something that is either holy or sacred is desecrated by treating it in a profane or irreverent manner.

Soul/Spirit

A person's soul is all that encompasses the absolute uniqueness of that person.  There are no two people alike.  The soul is that which will be able to exist after the human body has gone back to dust.

Servant

By obeying Hashem's Law Code we are serving Him.  That is to say we are a conduit by which the will of the Creator becomes our way of life.  In this we become a model (light) that guides people to ADONAI by living out the Law Code.

Slave

By ignoring the Law Code we become a slave to our natural desires.  This exact scenario played out in the Garden of Eden.  Adam and Eve chose their natural desires over the instruction given by Hashem.  They listened to Hasatan rather than their Creator.  There are only two Masters, one can only serve one or the other.

Atonement

When laws are broken, judicial systems mandate that there be a consequence.  The Creator's Law Code has the same expectations.  Since the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 CE and the loss of geopolitical sovereignty, many laws have been suspended until Irael returns to a monarchy.  There are others laws which are still applicable in the 21st Century.

Redemption

Historically, in order for a person to legally transition from the status of being a slave, a purchase price had to be provided for the individual to be set free.  In other words the person was redeemed through the price paid.  The individual was then afforded the rights and privileges as they were now considered a citizen still living under the laws of the land.  Because the Jewish Temple was destroyed in 70 CE, the redemption price was "paid" through Y'shua.  One is still bound by the Law Code as they have transfered from serving Hasatan (doing what is right in one's own eyes) to serving ADONAI.
