We live in a world that demands expectations throughout our entire life. The list is rather long when you add them all up. From parents, religious leaders, teachers, professors, employers and the government, it can become quite the juggling act. However, very few of us were ever taught what the Creator expects of us. Why was that? I think that is a very important question. Just maybe, humanity has been behaving very much like Adam and Eve. We think we know everything and it's my life anyway. The expectations that the Creator gave to humanity are found in His rules. The question is, are you going to set aside your ideas and begin to exchange them for Hashems' expectations? Or, are you going to continue to live your life on your terms? Remember, your life will impact those closest to you for the rest of their lives. That is a monumental burden if you are living your life in a way that teaches your spouse, your children, your parents, your siblings and others, that the Creator has been silent on His expectations. When expectations in life are not met, there are always consequences both great and small. It might be a good idea to start understanding what those consequences are for failing to live life by the Creators' expectations.
Deuteronomy 8:3
And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
